One thing I am focusing on in 2019 is home styling. Yes, I have a food blog and yes, I love to cook and bake for my family and friends. But my true love is home decorating. I love every aspect of it. From ideas, to mood boards, to fabrics , to accent furniture. I am in my happy place when I am styling and rearranging and putting things together that are aesthetically pleasing.
This is one of our mantles in our living room that I put together using a mix of texture, a mix of vintage and new and a bit of greenery.
I am in love with the lumbar pillows on the chairs. I had them made for these particular chairs and I am super happy with them. They really bring the space together. I wanted more brown in the vignette, so I tried the dark amber vases and it worked beautifully.
I always try to use what I already have to complete a room, with just a few new accent pieces here and their. The plates, framed pictures , clock and candlesticks were already displayed around the house. Do you tend to decorate with new things, or do you choose a mix of new and old ,like me ?
